EU Automation

Office Move & Refurbishment Project

Based on Temple Street in the heart of the city centre of Birmingham, EU Automation needed help relocating one of their offices in a short time frame of 6 weeks.

The Client's Brief

Due to the limitations, they were facing recruiting international staff to their offices at Stafford, their aim was to attract diverse talent using the excellent catchment area & transport links into Birmingham. To attract this talent, we found that the offices needed to be open plan and have multiple areas for collaboration & team building.

LOCATION – 10 TEMPLE STREET, CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM

PROJECT TYPE – OFFICE MOVE & OFFICE REFURBISHMENT

SECTOR – AUTOMATION

FOCUS – ATTRACTING INTERNATIONAL TALENT

Office Breakout Areas with Pool Table Inspiration & Soft Seating Areas
Soft Seating & Bench Desking & Office Chairs & Breakout Areas with Poseur High Table
Executive Desk & Office Planting & Glass Partitioning / Office Fit Out

The Idea

EU Automation approached Bullock and Bosson with the idea of creating a stylish yet functional office. They opted for an open plan office design with 36 desks, 2 x 4 person breakout areas, 6 person breakout area and a breakfast bar.

The Design

EU Automation’s brand colours were influential in the direction taken for the internal aesthetics, for example, the soft seating is both comfortable and helps to create brand recognition throughout the office.

Creating the open plan office space with various internal elements, such as breakout spaces, office/desk space, breakfast bar and chill out areas meant careful consideration had to be given to the design functionality.

The Installation

It was great working with Sue Cornwell, who was forward-thinking in her approach to reusing their existing furniture and Bullock and Bosson were also able to assist with cleaning and repairs to over 50 chairs. The overall appearance of the furniture has a very much ‘new installation’ look to it.

Providing a collaborative working effort, we liaised with EU Automation to disassemble, store and then reassemble 38 desks, a boardroom table and several storage units and chairs. Having this service in place helped ease pressure when working to a lease expiry deadline.

The Outcome

Following completion of the office furniture project for EU Automation, they were able to recruit high quality talent to their team. The new office environment clearly reflects the company’s ambitions to create a positive, welcoming environment.

Ian Turner from Bullock and Bosson comments “Even with the logistical challenges, this project was a pleasure to work on. We were conscious of the fact that we had 2 hours to offload any furniture whilst also being considerate in working around other tenants in the building at what was a busy time in the morning.

For us at Bullock and Bosson, it isn’t just providing the best designs and specifications, it’s the service and attention to detail we like to give our clients and given the feedback we have received from the team at EU Automation and No.10 temple street, I’d say we achieved that.”
